Silvia Bor

Silvia Bor serves as Senior Director of Pacific Environment’s Marine Program where she leads efforts to establish and better manage marine protected areas (MPAs) and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs) in Southeast Asia through close collaboration with local communities, NGOs, and governments. These efforts directly support the global initiative to protect 30% of our oceans by 2030. Silvia brings over a decade of leadership in international marine conservation, program strategy, and stakeholder engagement. At WildAid, she co-developed a multimillion-dollar and globally implemented Marine BLUEprint model, winner of the 2023 Earthshot Prize award, that ultimately led her team to engage with nearly 100 partners and consultants in 16 countries to strengthen enforcement and local capacity at MPAs and sustainable fisheries.
Silvia, who is fluent in Spanish, has a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Stanford University and a Master of Arts in international environmental policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She is currently a member of John Muir Health’s Patient & Family Advisory Committee and CPQCC’s Family Advisory Council. In her spare time, she loves traveling, writing, reading, yoga and exploring California with her son.
