Gwen Dobbs

Gwen Dobbs brings more than a decade of experience in the environmental and nonprofit world to Pacific Environment as its Senior Communications Manager. At Pacific Environment, Gwen will focus on communications strategy and media relations for Pacific Environment’s climate and Arctic priorities.
Before joining Pacific Environment, Gwen was the Director of Media Relations at Defenders of Wildlife for more than three years focusing on key issues including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Endangered Species Act, among others. Prior to Defenders, she served as the National Communications Director at Alaska Wilderness League. She supported the League’s Arctic and Tongass campaigns for nearly eight years. She worked on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies’ labeling program – ENERGY STAR – for nearly a decade at ICF International as their Senior Marketing Associate.
Gwen holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Allegheny College, located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She is currently located in Washington, DC during the pandemic but will be based in Pacific Environment’s San Francisco office.
