Jamie Yates

Climate & Renewable Energy Manager (she/her/hers)

Jamie Yates serves as Pacific Environment’s Climate & Renewable Energy Manager, leading our submissions and interventions at the International Maritime Organization, developing our positions and supporting cross-campaign coordination. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Yale Center for Environmental Justice, where she prepared materials for the Just Energy Transition course, and a student researcher with the Yale School of the Environment Tribal Resources Clinic, where she researched broadband development on tribal lands. Previously, Jamie served both as a research associate and systems engineer at Mission Bio, where she worked for four years on single-cell biology. She also has experience interning with the Department of Energy, Argonne National Laboratory. Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from University of California, Davis and a master’s degree in environmental management from Yale University School of the Environment. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.

Jamie Yates has been promoted to Climate & Renewable Energy Manager, recognizing her expanding leadership and contributions to our IMO work. Jamie will lead our submissions and interventions at the IMO, develop our positions, and support cross-campaign coordination.
