Pacific Environment website earns two Communicator Awards of Excellence

SAN FRANCISCO — Pacific Environment is proud to announce that its newly redesigned website (PacificEnvironment.org) has received two Award of Excellence honors at the 2026 Communicator Awards, the program’s highest distinction for excellence in communications and digital storytelling.

The organization was recognized in two categories:

  • General – Non-Profit, Award of Excellence
  • Features – Website Redesign, Award of Excellence

Presented by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), the Communicator Awards celebrate strong, effective and innovative work across marketing and communications. This year’s program drew thousands of entries from organizations and creative teams around the world, spanning websites, campaigns, video, branding and digital experiences.

“We are in an era of information and content overload. Breaking through requires the right message, medium and moment,” said AIVA General Manager Josh Campbell. “This season’s winners got it exactly right across campaigns, websites, apps and beyond.”

For Pacific Environment, the redesigned website reflects a broader effort to better share its mission to promote a healthy climate, reduce pollution and conserve biodiversity for an equitable and thriving future. The updated site puts a stronger focus on clarity, accessibility and storytelling to help audiences more easily engage with the organization’s work across the Pacific Rim.

“We are honored to win these Award of Excellence distinctions and are thrilled to showcase our organization’s rebranding efforts and new visual identity,” said Jared Saylor, senior director of communications for Pacific Environment. “Our new website encapsulates who we have become and where we are headed.”

The project was a collaborative effort led by Pacific Environment’s Communications team in partnership with ForeFront Web, along with input and support from staff across the organization who contributed throughout content development, review and testing.

“These awards are a meaningful acknowledgment of the effort that went into rethinking how we show up online,” said Salo Aburto, communications manager, web content & operations. “It really reflects a team effort across departments and partners to better communicate the urgency and impact of our work.”

The Communicator Awards are sanctioned and reviewed by the AIVA, an invitation-only body of more than 1,000 industry leaders.
