Kim Mikyoung serves as Pacific Environment’s Country Director for the Republic of Korea, leading campaign strategy and implementation in Korea to advance zero-emission shipping and maritime decarbonization.
Prior to joining Pacific Environment, Mikyoung worked for more than a decade at Greenpeace East Asia, where she led and managed environmental campaigns across plastics, oceans, biodiversity, climate and energy, and fossil fuel accountability. She also built and developed the community outreach team in Korea, ensuring that grassroots engagement and people power contributed strategically to campaign impact.
Mikyoung has a bachelor’s degree in English linguistics from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and is based in Seoul.
