Karina Brocco French

​Climate State Policy Manager, Northeast

Karina serves as Pacific Environment’s ​Climate State Policy Manager, Northeast. Before joining Pacific Environment, she was a NOAA Sea Grant Congressional Fellow in the office of Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., where she worked on policy issues including ocean conservation, education, small business and health for New Jersey. She holds a Ph.D. in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine, where her research focused on the impacts of shipping-related water pollution on marine animals. Karina also worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on land revitalization and environmental justice initiatives. She is thrilled to be working toward zero-emission shipping at Pacific Environment.
