Karen Decker brings more than 20 years of environmental and nonprofit experience to Pacific Environment as its Finance & Operations Officer where she works behind the scenes to support a stable and smooth-functioning organization that allows staff to better carry out the organization’s mission. Karen’s passion is supporting local communities to gain access to information and resources impacting their lives and bringing their voices into the decision-making dialogue. She is proud to support Pacific Environment’s many local partnerships.
Karen previously served as Assistant Director of Pesticide Action Network and with Bank Information Center as the Europe and Central Asia Program Coordinator. Her interest in nonprofit governance has led to 10 years of board service with Grid Alternatives and her children’s San Francisco school, where she served as board chair. Karen has a B.A. in architectural engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in international relations from Golden Gate University.
